I bought this magnifying glass to be able to see dates on coins. This is easily done with a 30x lens and the LEDs are very bright and well placed. At 60x magnification I can see scratches etc which makes this product even more useful. Build quality matches the price paid (which for me was $11). The product is made in China and the instructions that come with it are in English and Chinese. Batteries (3LR1130) are included and there is a small toggle switch that allows the user to turn off the light source on 30x or 60x lenses. Light sources cannot be turned on at the same time. WARNING: Do not look directly into the LEDs! This is painful and affects your ability to see through a lighted magnifying glass. The magnifying glass is approximately 1 1/2 inches thick and approximately 2 inches wide. It can easily be carried in a pocket, purse or backpack and seems well constructed for the price. I wish the lenses were a little bigger, but that's me and my old eyes! I think most users who want to enlarge jewelry, coins, stamps or something like that will be satisfied with this item. I'm considering gifting another one.
