I only rate this 4 stars because it solves problems by allowing me to use what would otherwise be wasted. I wanted to build something similar but out of wood (which would be much more functional). Although it works, it's a very light plastic. It's like what you'd expect at Walmart for $15. They are stackable but if you order 2 units and stack they will only give you 5 shelves not six as you don't have enough legs to attach the last basket but there is an extra set of wheels. As it wasn't intended for that use, it's hard to complain about the lack of parts to fully utilize it. I mention it for those who think about it. Folding is not only possible, but also easy. It's a bit wobbly and will likely hold the same weight as one block instead of two. The block is rated for 45 labs, 15 pounds per shelf. Since we use it as a stack of 5, I have light items on the top two shelves (tea boxes, spices.) and glasses and bottles on the bottom. So far it looks like it will work for us if handled carefully and not overloaded. I plan on closing off the area by building a small door to close off the area from that side and incorporating spices if possible. Shelves for better use of space. (What can make this impossible is the depth of the shelves preventing the door from opening). I feel like I need to do something like this to make the area look finished and not like it's stuffed between the fridge and the wall. (We use it in the spot left over after replacing the old fridge as nothing was made exactly that size). These devices are functional but definitely look cheap and aren't something you want to display or use as a permanent piece of decor. Maybe this is a temporary fix for us, and we'll eventually make something similar out of wood (which would be both stronger and more attractive). There are a few similar units on Revain, but this is the only one that says they can be stacked (although some look similar if not identical). Unfortunately, none of them appear to have been made from significantly better materials, more attractive, or more durable. I personally would like a permanent fix and am not sure what it is.
