I would like to start by saying that this is a quality toaster. If it suits your needs like it does us, that's great. If you intend to use it as a small oven, it probably won't work very well. Our use case is 2 people primarily toasting bread and English muffins in the morning but also heating bread for dinner. Very rarely do we use it for other purposes. We wanted something small and light as we put the toaster under the cupboard when not in use, something that toasted well and something with good build quality and aesthetics. It achieved those goals for us. On the other hand, the toast we make is better than our old Cuisinart toaster. Not sure if it has to do with the type of heating element, but fried food is done really well. A bit more crisp on the way, but not overdone. So + there. The device is very light and small enough to be hidden under a closet. In this regard, it is very convenient and looks beautiful when unfolded. The light inside the oven is also welcome when it's on, you can easily see how things are going. The door mechanism is really solid and beautiful, it feels high quality and the drawer is nice. On the neutral side, the device comes with small trays. I'm not sure we'll ever use them, but it also has a bread screen which is nice and we leave it there all the time. The plug is inserted the wrong way round. Nothing wrong with that. One misconception is that you can't turn off the oven before the timer runs out. That's not true, you can turn off the timer at any time. The instructions say to do just that. So this information is not correct, we turn it off every time we use it. Finally, the size of the toaster is given as 4 mountains of toast. You can make 6 or maybe 8 English muffin halves. This is advertised and that's for sure. On the other hand, the timer is a bit strange. This is similar to a heat lamp timer or a mechanical spring sauna timer. It's both weird and a little annoying at the same time. Not much height inside either. With other toasters, you may have a lower rack position. This is a post that you cannot customize. And finally, the door doesn't fall to a horizontal position when you open it, so you have to lift the toast a bit instead of just sliding it. All in all, if you're looking for a quality toaster that looks good and is designed for one task - making toast, muffins, etc. - this is a good option. If your situation calls for more, you might want to consider something else.
