Review on Discover the Perfect Brew with Tealyra High Fired Tea One Milliliter by Bishnu Bush

I've ordered 3 of these in the last year: one for me, one as a gift, one for my husband. When I ordered one for my husband the company had adjusted it with a gasket around the filter basket which fitted the cup very securely and helped retain heat when brewing tea. When I first noticed the missing seal, I thought it must be an accident, an oversight of this device. But then I realized that our two filter baskets - one with a rubber seal and one without - are not interchangeable between the two cups. The cups *look* the same, but they're not: the newest cup has a slightly narrower neck, so the filter basket with gasket won't fit in. So it was obviously a deliberate design change. If I had never received one of those filter baskets with a gasket, I certainly wouldn't have missed the gasket. But since I have one with a filter and one without, I prefer the filter option, if only because it feels premium when you press down on the filter basket and feel it close the hole tightly. It's like the difference between kitchen canisters with and without seals. Which just feel a lot better. That dissatisfaction aside, this is an excellent mug. The filter basket works great and is a lot easier to clean than the tea ball we used previously. The capacity of the cup is very large; I never finish my tea. My stomach is always full before the cup is empty lol. The handle is comfortable and the mug feels good in your hand. One feature I particularly LOVE is that when placed upside down on the table, the lid holds the filter basket perfectly. when you take it out of the cup so you don't have to run back to the sink to put on the filter or wait at the sink for your tea to brew; You can bring the whole cup - with the tea brewed in the filter - to the place of tea drinking, and at the end of brewing, remove the lid, turn it upside down and plant it, and then remove the basket with the filter and plant it in the lid. No fuss, no fuss. Very convenient. I would have given this mug 5 stars before they took the liner off!
