decent portable scale

is a very good accurate scale especially for what i paid I realized years ago that you don't have to pay $300+ to get accuracy for small amounts of precious metals receive. In the worst case, you can be off by 1/10 of a gram, so what. If you have a fresh supply of batteries, accuracy shouldn't be an issue.
