I have been using these hand warmers for many years, mainly on camping trips. They work well and have made cold weather camping that much more enjoyable. One trick I found was that since they work when exposed to air, and if you don't need to use them every eight hours at once, you can "turn them off" if you put them in a ziplock bag close. If you take them out, they'll reheat until they're used up.
