I had to use this today after a fast storm knocked out my internet. I have a portable wifi that I pay a few bucks a month to keep it running when I'm not at home and I can't connect to the wifi there. Since my internet went down due to a storm, I turned on my portable wifi, plugged in to HBO and selected a movie to watch on my phone. This screen made it easier to watch the movie while I couldn't get ROKU to work on my TV (because there was no internet). My wearable device has several gigabytes of data to use, but I would try connecting it to my TV's ROKU - it will use up paid GBs too quickly, so I only use it on my phone or tablet. But as far as watching the HBO movie, it helped me see the screen better. It's not the same as seeing it on a big (real) screen, but it's enough in a pinch.
