Review on KitchenAid KCG8433BM Coffee Grinder Black by Thomas Henry

This is a replacement for the Mr Coffee Burr grinder we bought because the store had one after we moved and needed it ASAP. Compared to other shredders we have used, this is the best. Most importantly, the grind is very, very even and consistent. There was a lot of "fineness" with the Mr Coffee grinder that gave the brewed coffee a cloudy flavor and the ground particles were not very uniform in size. It's a heavy machine and it grinds slowly, so it's very quiet. Another aspect of the slow speed is that the ground product is not subjected to excessive heat, which can spoil the flavor by imparting bitterness. And finally, this machine is very well thought out and well constructed - for example, there is almost no static sticking! The powder falls neatly into the drip tray without the mess caused by spilled and flying ground coffee. We drink a variety of coffees and blends, including very rich French roasts and Italian roasts, and so far no clogs or build-up have occurred. The top part is easy, simple and quick to remove for easy and thorough cleaning. And we've both found that the taste of our favorite coffee is enhanced and appears way better! It's easy to set up and tune to the level of coffee enjoyment you need to experience to be truly appreciated. If I could give ten stars I would - it's that good!
