great grinder! the best of the coffee grinders

I've been using it for about a year. Grind retention seems low due to the slide style (great thing), lots of options to choose the best grind, little to no static in the bin, seems to have a fairly consistent grind size. The espresso grind actually surprised me, wasn't expecting it to be that good for a fairly cheap grinder compared to most espresso grinders, but I don't have an espresso machine to test or grinder to compare directly. But using it daily for filter coffee, I can easily vouch for

Excellent grinder

I've used many grinders that have recently been favored by competitor Kitchenaid (whose name begins with an s) but this one outperforms in almost every category. It's probably worth buying just because it's a lot quieter than the competitor's coffee grinder (I was afraid it might damage my hearing). But if you've conjured yourself up about the mess other grinders make — your countertop looks like you spilled some coffee — this grinder's anti-static technology is amazing. Since the coffee is…

Best grinder I've owned in over 3 decades of coffee grinding

I'm so glad I overcame my reluctance to spend a little more on this grinder. I tried a few other models, first I tried to replace a Bodum Bistro coffee grinder that I had used for a number of years before it broke with the same model, but the replacement only lasted a couple of weeks before it broke . So I tried OXO instead. A coffee grinder I thought was fine, but it turned out that some ground coffee always got stuck in the machine and required a tedious cleaning after each use. And then…

What an AMAZING coffee grinder

This is an amazing grinder, I have used blade grinders before which grind more or less beans and have been eyeing this type of grinder for a while now. Cheap models seem to have many different problems, static, clutter, noise, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" springs to mind. Static, clutter and noise are not a problem with this grinder, there is no static that causes the grist to stick to anything, there is almost no clutter around the grinder and the noise level is so low that my…

Great Grinder - Great Results

This is a replacement for the Mr Coffee Burr grinder we bought because the store had one after we moved and needed it ASAP. Compared to other shredders we have used, this is the best. Most importantly, the grind is very, very even and consistent. There was a lot of "fineness" with the Mr Coffee grinder that gave the brewed coffee a cloudy flavor and the ground particles were not very uniform in size. It's a heavy machine and it grinds slowly, so it's very quiet. Another aspect of the slow speed

KCG8433BM Burr Grinder OUTSTANDING

I've had many burr grinders in the $85-$120 range for years but lately I've been dissatisfied, the quality has seemed to be dropping. So I spent a few months comparing reviews of many brands and models and finally settled on this KitchenAid model (vs. the budget $250 Kitchen Aid coffee grinder - dirty, difficult to clean, etc.). Too many other brands in the $120-$220 range had numerous complaints of uneven grinding, noise, and galling that required frequent cleaning. or the bane of the…
