Review on Stripe Jumbo Eco Flex Paper Straws by Rich Fiedler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable Luxury Items

I thought it was a typo. 4800 paper straws for $20? They are usually sold in packs of 20 for $2 to $3 at most stores. Yes, you buy in bulk, but you get $480 worth of straws for the price of only 200 straws. Also, these are the best paper straws I've ever used. The box says they keep their shape in liquid for 5 hours. I left them in the cup overnight where the ice melted. So 12-14 hours and they still worked fine. VERY different from other paper straws I've used. Pros: Made in the USA. Dyes and colors meet US and European safety standards. They are flexible (never seen flexible paper straws). They come in a large box of 8 individually labeled boxes of 600 straws each. Cons: All boxes are cardboard. There is no plastic in the product (good), but the whole packaging is also plastic-free. It's annoying when the box falls into a dirty liquid or is stored in a dusty place (garage?), etc. For storage, I wrapped each box of 600 carats in cling film. Everything arrived in excellent condition so I'm not at all concerned about the product, but I wish some sort of generic plastic barrier was desirable.

Pros
  • Paper and Plastic
Cons
  • Damaged
