I'm an experienced hiker and I'm a picky eater when it comes to bottle cages. They should hold the bottle securely, not wobble, and be easy to remove and replace the Nalgene 1 liter bottle with one hand. This carrier meets all these criteria 100%. If there's a downside, it's the belt loop. It's not regulated. This is a wide stitched nylon strap, very strong, beautiful and sturdy, but it cannot be adjusted to fit different waist belt sizes. This fits perfectly with my Granite Gear backpack. I've used Outdoor Research water bottle holders, but this one does the same job for half the price.
