I wanted this for my daughter. to replace the sponge rollers I had in the 80's but they weren't made for sleeping. You need to get the right amount of hair per hook or tiny hairs will be pulled and it will hurt. It took me about 45 minutes to get them all the first time around and I slept in them all night. The next morning my hair was so curly and stayed that way most of the day which never happens but my neck was so stiff. Next time, after another 45 minute session, I tried blow drying it for about 30 minutes, waited another hour and then blow dried it again. The results weren't that good. Some sections looked amazing, others were curly. I think if you do this a few times and get comfortable you will find it easier to put on curlers and if you wear them all day for an evening event you will be fine. I was hoping this would be a curling iron replacement, but it's not.
