I love these things! It's like finally having a baby monitor for your newborn. I only had one, but once I started fermenting two batches at once, I just couldn't handle it. With my old hydrometer I felt like I was in the Stone Age. Not to mention the precious beer you spend testing. Setup isn't obvious and the included manual is pretty much useless. But with a little Google and YouTube you'll be up and running in 5-10 minutes. No, it does not connect to your internet for automatic updates. It connects to a Bluetooth device and updates via their app. However, it comes with an adaptation for a Google spreadsheet so you can keep a journal for your drink. If you have a device that can stay in your brew room, you can write continuous updates directly to Google Spreadsheets, which you can then check on your phone at any time. I started using Google Spreadsheets but eventually decided to manually check twice a day before and after work which was enough. If you decide to buy more than one, be sure to get different colors. The application separates readings based on the color of the device. All in all a great little device! I am totally spoiled and never look back!
