Needs to be checked here - there is absolutely no driver on the StarTech support site and what I received says it is only compatible with Windows. Actually this is NOT true. If you look at the chipset, you will see that there are many Mac compatible products with the same chipset, so you only need one of these drivers. The SIIG site contains drivers for various versions of Mac OS X, including 10.11.1. I'm not sure if Revain will adopt the link so basically you have to go to the SIIG website and find their JU-DV0211-S1 drivers or just buy this product. The chipset for this particular product is the Trigger 2 T2-285A chipset from Magic Control Technology Corporation and you can also check their website for the latest drivers for their UV-A8301 product. The magic word is this is the "Trigger 2" driver you need. If the rest of the reviews say you have to hunt it down, you better believe it! Installation and reboot are required and you need to bypass driver protection in 10.11 by disabling it in System Preferences/Security.
