Review on AQUANEAT Aquarium Air Driven Bio Corner Filter Sponge: The Ultimate Solution for Fry Shrimp Nano Fish Tanks with Airline Tubing, Air Pump Valves & Suction Cups by Chinelo Aranjo

Choose this instead of sponge filters.

Probably my favorite filter in general. I have canisters from Sicce, Eheim, Fluval; AquaClear canopies; Dennerle internal filter; and even comparable sponge filters. This filter is divided into chambers like a canister filter, providing multi-stage filtration. Has an adjustable suction tube. Due to its construction, it offers excellent surface tension, so that the water is saturated with oxygen and the water surface does not form a protein film. It is invisible and, unlike sponge filters, does not look unsightly. In addition, it is easy to care for. The only changes I suggest are rearranging the foam pads. The thinnest pad should be on the bottom and the roughest on top; This allows all of the dirt to get into the filter. This filter also contains pebbles that act not only as a makeshift biomedium, but also as a weighting agent to keep the filter from floating. I suggest replacing some of the pebbles with Seachem Matrix for optimal biofiltration. Looking at this filter, I'm surprised this style ever went out of style. I recommend this corner filter for any aquarium up to 10 gallons.
