Description of AQUANEAT Aquarium Air Driven Bio Corner Filter Sponge: The Ultimate Solution for Fry Shrimp Nano Fish Tanks with Airline Tubing, Air Pump Valves & Suction Cups

Corner filter provide both mechanical and bio filtration, and supplying the water with much needed oxygen ,reduces noise from air pump and consumes lowest wattage. Easy to set up & clean: simply install an airline into the unit and turn on the air pump, also, multi-layers design is easy to clean, simply rinse and squeeze sponge in tank water. Safe for fish: excellent for small size fish like dwarf cichlid, guppy, killifish etc. or for hatcheries, maternity tanks, and fry tanks, as the filter produces minimal current and has almost no way to suck the fish through the filter. Recommend tank size: up to 20 gallon; Dimension: 4"L x 3.125"W x 3.25" to 6"H. Includes: 1 sponge filter, 4ft airline tubing, 4 suction cups, 1 control valve, 1 tee, 1 non-return check valve.

Great filter, plastic is good too. I lined up my carrier, kept the ceramic rings that came with this filter, and replaced the tiny stones with an underwater fluvial bio ring carrier. You can still use what comes with this filter. This gives you three types of sponges: a mesh sponge, a fine sponge, and a white sponge that promotes biofiltration. Filtering works as expected. I use it as a secondary filter in my 37 gallon tank, but you can use it as a primary filter in a 20 gallon tank with a…

The order (position) of the filters is wrong

The filter is ok. I threw away the cheap gravel and replaced it with Seachem Matrix. The order of the filters (pictured here on Revain) and how they shipped the product to me are incorrect. After the bottom gravel layer (or Seachem Matrix in my case) the white filter should come next, followed by the fine black sponge and then the coarse black sponge on top (i.e. reverse filter order). What I have (and I don't blame the manufacturer) is that my filter isn't heavy enough to stay on the ground…

Keeps my 10 gallon tank crystal clear!

I've used HOB filters in every aquarium I've ever owned and didn't know much about blocking filters but wanted to see how they compare to my trusty HOB Aqueon, Top Fin and Tetra. WOW, this thing blows them out of the water! Easy to install, as quiet as the air pump you buy and easy to clean. Some reviewers say it's difficult to open, but I've had no problems as long as I removed the filter completely from the tank, dried it, and gently squeezed the sides to loosen the lid. I replaced the…

Choose this instead of sponge filters.

Probably my favorite filter in general. I have canisters from Sicce, Eheim, Fluval; AquaClear canopies; Dennerle internal filter; and even comparable sponge filters. This filter is divided into chambers like a canister filter, providing multi-stage filtration. Has an adjustable suction tube. Due to its construction, it offers excellent surface tension, so that the water is saturated with oxygen and the water surface does not form a protein film. It is invisible and, unlike sponge filters, does…

  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Unreliable

I can't even figure it out. I've ordered them before and have been satisfied every time. I know they are cheap, but for a small aquarium they are enough. But this time I received a Revain package with an unmarked item sealed with tape and wrapped tightly so I went to open it. Now I'm struggling with an allergic reaction and had to throw everything away. I was lucky that other items in the same package were not affected. Here's how my filter came: 1. Wrapped in impregnated cardboard, sealed…
