The filter is ok. I threw away the cheap gravel and replaced it with Seachem Matrix. The order of the filters (pictured here on Revain) and how they shipped the product to me are incorrect. After the bottom gravel layer (or Seachem Matrix in my case) the white filter should come next, followed by the fine black sponge and then the coarse black sponge on top (i.e. reverse filter order).
