I drink hot green tea every day all year round. I used to use plastic straws until a colleague recommended getting stainless steel straws. he said it was a much healthier alternative than plastic - apparently the plastic particles dissolve in your hot drink and of course i didn't want that in my body! I am very happy with the purchase - great quality at a great price! The only thing I don't like is that the straws are REALLY hot when put in a hot drink and it hurts to hold the straw while drinking but that doesn't bother me too much. I just cover my fingers with my shirt sleeve and everything is fine. The heat will disappear some time after the drink has cooled. Would recommend to all my straw buddies! :)
