I like that this inverter consumes little power when connected to the grid, 83% efficiency. The fan turns on when the inverter warms up, but is silent. I had another inverter that I was using, the fan ran all the time and turned the battery level red (Morning Star Controller). I am off grid and this is important when using electricity at night. The only issue I've noticed is that in the dark when trying to plug in something without a ground pin, the two USB ports look a lot like an outlet, and I almost (with a little effort) plugged my two-pin TV cable into it. . I recommend this little inverter.
