I mean it could be our tin roof or some other factor, but my mom's house is exactly 250 feet from mine. She can be at her door and push a button and I can hear her, which is line of sight from the door to the handset. but she walks in the door and pushes the button, and nothing, any part of her house, nothing. Maybe my house is suffering from a dampening field that doesn't really ruin the product, but I need to look for a more robust and stable approach where seconds count. I give 3 stars because the product works, it only works with radio signals, it works on the "click to go" principle, and it is different for different materials and layouts. Without neglecting the actual product, it works and works well at around 150ft every time, but beyond 150ft it can be tricky.
