We bought this to take care of a sick loved one. It works exactly as described and we have really benefited from it. I would definitely buy it again or buy it as a gift for another caretaker.

It was a good solution for my husband who needs my help. I keep one hanging in the bathroom and he can wear the other around his neck or hold it next to him. We sleep on different floors so if the handset is upstairs in the hall I can easily hear the music when he presses the button.

My father is 88 years old and he goes out every morning before I get up, and the next week he fell and could hardly get up, the next day I ordered this product. I'm VERY glad I did! We live on 2.5 acres and I've walked the entire perimeter with no problems! If you are caring for an elderly person, this is PERFECT!

The "melody" cannot be interrupted once it begins. I think you can turn it off and then help your husband. In particular, it is pointed out that you should never use detergents or a WET cloth to clean the devices. The product description said it was waterproof. Being partially deaf I was looking for some form of communication between my sick husband and myself. When I ring the bell in the living room or anywhere I spend a lot of time, a call ends up either in my pocket or on my bedside table. Works great. Love it. I can't hear between walls so I'm planning to consider another device with a ringer that plugs into an outlet so I have two areas of contact. It is worth buying for your communication with a sick patient.

I like its simplicity, wish it had shorter tones. There are only two sounds I would even remotely consider and that's the first doorbell-like hat sound, and after about 25 choices you've got our chosen Coo-Coo watch. But it was easy enough to install. I bought this for my special needs teenager so she can call me when she goes to bed. She has cerebral palsy, so she has poor motor skills. I mean it could be our tin roof or some other factor, but my mom's house is exactly 250 feet from mine. She can be at her door and push a button and I can hear her, which is line of sight from the door to the handset. but she walks in the door and pushes the button, and nothing, any part of her house, nothing.
