Assembly was fairly straightforward and easy, it took some elbow grease to snap the pieces into place (for me) but once assembled they were very solid. It's easier to measure and install in the car with two people, but I was able to do it by myself. This product can be adapted to most vehicles very easily! Not as detachable as I'd like but definitely no need to worry about one of my big dogs getting through which is a plus! Definitely a great value, you don't have to spend more than $100 when this works great for $24.99! Would definitely buy again.
