Mosquitoes and moths are a nuisance in the evenings and disrupt our patio use in the evenings. Hanging this insect trap and leaving it on all evening will greatly reduce the insect population, making evening use of the patio much more enjoyable. The recommended cleaning with the supplied brush, which requires removing the protective screen, is impractical as the entire grate and bottom, as well as the collection box, filled with bugs every morning. In fact, there are usually more bugs on the grate and floor than in a box. The quick fix was to empty the box and use the lawn mower at low speed to clean the mesh and bottom of the bug trap. Our patio is sheltered from the rain but otherwise the unit will need to be brought in if rain is expected as it is not designed for outdoor use. The device is very durable, easy to use and very effective. I can only recommend that.
