I installed this replacement battery fairly easily. Initially it appeared satisfactory showing 7+ hours remaining. I then left the laptop unplugged to drain the battery as per the enclosed instructions. However after only a few hours when I tried to start it to check the battery's status, I discovered it would not boot my laptop. I had to plug the laptop in to get it to reboot and the battery still showed 70% remaining. The laptop then functioned adequately on battery power only for several hours until I shut it down. Once again the laptop would not restart under battery power and needed to be plugged in. I removed this battery and reinstalled my old battery which only had 90 minutes remaining when fully charged. However the old battery had no problem booting up the laptop. Conclusion: defective product. I will return this battery and order one from an alternative manufacturer. What a waste of time. Poor quality control.
