Review on 🏷️ Expert Kit for Memorex Label Maker by Drew Panah

Product comes with label applicator as advertised. It works perfectly for the lettering. Too bad it was the only part of the kit that really worked properly. First, there are no "138" labels for discs in the kit. You have about 15 sheets of 8 different labels: 2 'disc' labels, 2 'ring' labels, 2 jewel case back labels and 2 'reusable labels' - that's 120 labels. Ring labels are designed for use on double-sided discs, but can also be used to extend a single-sided disc label to the innermost edge. Anyway, the number of labels was a bit disappointing. However, that's not why I hate this product. The reason I hate this product is that the Memorex exPressit software that comes with it is a terrible mess, confusing and difficult to use even with the 'manual' that comes with it. It's not the end of the world, however: once you learn how to use it, it will. serviceable. The real problem occurs when you calibrate printouts. You see, you need to calibrate before printing. This ensures that the images and text are actually printed ON the label and not elsewhere on the sheet. The calibration page prints fine and I follow the instructions on it. It then completely forgets my calibration information and prints the label incorrectly. When I try to print the same page again it remembers the calibration and prints the correct label, but this has a small issue with two images overlapping. When I switch sides it forgets to resize. Currently I have to print the label on the back, then - VERY FAST - take the printout, turn it over and pull it through properly. If I do this fast enough it only offsets LIGHTLY, although I suspect it could be a small calibration error and I'm dialing it in right now. CD box labels are included but I don't have much hope for them either. I won't be buying refills for this at this time - once I'm done with the supplied sheets I'll try different brands. But I still have the tagged applicator - it's easy to use and works great.
