Review on 🎨 120pcs Empty Half Pans Plastic Paint Kits with Magnetic Square for Watercolor, Oils, or Acrylics - Ideal Travel Tin Case for DIY Watercolor Palette Art Drawing by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's great

Arrived quickly and in good condition. The bag does not need to be cut as it is a well working zipper. The magnetic squares stick easily and have time for a little nudge if the initial placement is off-center or sticks out. They are the perfect size; Again, no cutting is required except to open this wrapper. Very easy to assemble. As far as DIY palettes go, I've tried three configurations: 1. About 14 of these pans fit in a tin of standard-sized Altoids.2. It also had 5 rests and 3 Da Vinci Casaneo travel brushes in sizes 2, 4 and 6.3. It contained 10 bowls plus a size 6 Da Vinci travel brush (or one of the smaller ones, of course). The size 8 Da Vinci wouldn't even fit on its own, and neither would the Escoda Versatil. The magnets held the bowls in place even when the jar was held sideways or upside down. Not shown here, but I even tried turning them over after some of my pots were full, despite the lid being on and not spilling. In Prima marketing tins I could place 5 turned sideways but they would have to be magnetized in the middle row. They were just too long to fit in the normal orientation. It is better to use the older Prima Marketing trays, which are smaller, in the middle row. And combine Mifuner with Prima Marketing on two finished rows. This is more appropriate. With this mix you get 21 half pans per carton. If you use 100% Mifuner, you get 19 pans in this box and a magnetic strip on 5 of them.5. In the Meeden 24 mold I was able to get 13 pieces in each pre-made row and 11 pieces flipped to the side in the middle for a total of 37 half molds all using Mifuner molds. Overall I am very happy with this item. UPDATE: I used the magnets for a few months but they eventually died and I replaced them with magnetic roller shears. Still a good product. They have been used in very hot and very rainy conditions, left on their side in a hot car and even (accidentally) turned upside down etc. I still find it a useful and good product. Bought more and planned to buy more. Maybe 4.5 stars.
