Other sizes are quite similar but 5/16" is actually 1/4". 1/2 inch is actually 3/8 inch. Roulette and ruler don't lie. I needed what I ordered. In fact, I used to be a climber and I know what a bob should be like. . I would send them back but my current project needs to be completed and I need to use 2 where I normally only need one. The so-called "1/2" is only approved for 1200 pounds. Chinese shit!
