Review on Htostar Universal Bracket Conversion Adjustable by Marco Cervantes

They will work but be careful with threaded holes

The plates themselves feel well made and heavy, and apart from a few machine marks in the lug cutouts on the back of some motor mounts, the finish is an evenly textured finish. These bags kinda remove the protrusion on the back of the clamshell mounts but not quite, it's close in one of the forward positions but it required some grinding on my mounts (not aluminum on a steel clamshell). In the end I decided to completely sand down the rounded triangular dome in the mounts so I could use whatever plates I wanted at that point, and the extra strength this gave the mount had to be offset by the increased contact area with the aluminum plate compared to the aluminum plate. 3 persistent bosses on the block. They engraved D and P on the plates but for my left hand drive use D was on the passenger side and P on the driver side unless there is some other meaning for D/P that indicates me. There are currently 2 sets of pictures showing 2 different plate bolts with 8 bolts on the motor side bolts. They came in black not shiny silver and they look good quality and fit well. The six silver flange head screws that read M10-1.5 that hold the bracket to the plate are not of the highest quality. A lock washer is not supplied and I would hesitate to use Loctite for this as the aluminum mount is quite soft. were at the bottom. Pulled it out again and 2 screws were already tight and the threads on the screws were more damaged than the plates. I was expecting to have to move them so they weren't tight at all so I was surprised. I could clean them up, maybe with a threader and swap out the screws, but I had a different set of panels to use with two windows now that I've sanded the backs of my cribs. I reinstalled the brackets in the next slot on the back with only 2 screws for a final test fit to be sure before using another set and one of them damaged and severely chewed on the threads in the backplates. If you line them up correctly the first time and don't plan on ever removing the motor mount side, they'll probably work with some sort of anti-seize (definitely had to grab a second time), although I doubt the overall strength and metal-to-metal holding ability Metal contact where vibration occurs. I may be able to re-tap the damaged hole but otherwise it would be difficult to increase the size as the M10-1.5 bolts are larger than those in some other mounts and a bit too big for the mounts. In summary, you can probably do better for not much more money, but if you work around the limitations, it will do the job. I probably wouldn't use 6 flange bolts.

Pros
