I think this cooler is misunderstood. One review mentioned that the contact surface of this cooler is round, while the processor case is rectangular. But that's not a problem because your real CP chip is about 16mm square and the radiator surface is about 28mm round. So it more than covers the area where the heat is generated. Second, I don't think people get the cooling performance right. The fan of this cooler has a maximum speed of about 3000 rpm. My Coolermaster 612 EVO has a maximum fan speed of 1300 rpm. To use this cooler, you need to set the fan curve to match the fan. If you don't do this, it will work very poorly. On my system with an i7-6850k and with all six cores at 100%, the hottest core runs around 55°C. The contact surface is very flat and smooth. This is because it is a turned part and is easily machined to very tight tolerances. Compare this to other coolers where the contact surfaces are "flattened" on a belt sander. It may be cheap, but getting a very flat surface this way is simply not possible. The insertion force is well controlled by four separate springs. My 612 EVO had a lever that was putting too much strain on the processor. The only downside is that since the fan runs at a higher RPM, it is noisier than some of the others.
