Yes, it really protects my watch. But it quickly looks boring, and something gets underneath. I regularly find a piece of cat hair underneath. Sure, this cat has fur that follows me across continents while safely napping thousands of miles away at home, but I'd still prefer a fur that's thick enough that I don't have to take it off once a week to clean it. Dust, wool and everything else that can get underneath. Removal is not difficult, only removing the straps is painful and I would prefer not to do this step. I love that not only the face but also the sides are protected as I do a lot of DIY and broke my FitBit's face at the plumber's, but it doesn't look good. So while it protects the watch, it ruins the beautiful, clean, and shiny look of the dial. I'll see how long this one lasts, you get two in a pack and I'm only on the first one I've been wearing for about eight weeks. But when it's time to move on to something else, I'll probably opt for a Zagg-style invisible cover meant just for the watch face. Recently it has also started where some parts are sticking to the glass and others are not, resulting in small darker black spots. Again, this is just a cosmetic issue and not a feature, but it's a little annoying. photo attached.
