Excellent fluid head for the price. Whether you're a beginner, a pro on a budget, or need an extra tripod, this is great. The fluid head is sleek and does the job, but DO NOT expect a $100 professional quality fluid head. I've had it for over a year now and I'm very happy with the product, but there are a few things you should know about a tripod before you buy it. THE BAD: The entire product is mostly plastic, even the bottom panel. to which you attach the camera. Over time, the bottom plate will wear and loosen, especially on heavier DSLR rigs. The legs tend to loosen up over time. The fluid head tension is not really adjustable. It works with two screws pressing on the plate to increase the response. So when you tighten the liquid head it loses its "flowability" and gets a little noisy which can be a problem when sound is needed. GOOD: Only $100. Comes with a case, nice touch. The fluid head is amazingly smooth when fully open. It's very tall, I'm 6ft 3in and I have to stand on tiptoe when the tripod is fully set up. Despite being mostly plastic, it's very well made considering. It looks professional and at work it doesn't feel as cheap as it is. I haven't found a better fluid head system in this price range that gives the same reliable results. Eating is understandable.
