We had a similar mat that came with our motorhome 5 years ago. MH was 5 years old at the time, so we have no idea how old he really is. The only reason we replaced it was that the white plastic webbing had "shed" quite a bit which had found its way into the RV and everywhere. Also, the original carpet held onto chairs, picnic tables, rocks, etc. As for the rocks, I took the time to move/remove any underlying rocks when we first installed it to avoid damage. We were concerned, based on some bad reviews, that the new one might be of lower grade/weight and therefore not as durable as the old one. Luckily it's exactly the same as the first one, so as long as it holds up just as well as the first one, we'll be happy. Yes it can go up when it's windy but I think that's the price you pay for a mat that isn't too heavy, easy to clean and doesn't collect water. It has grommets in the corners for fastening, although we never had to. Folds EZ and saves big. As with everything, it depends on the right care!
