I was given extra glue to stick it on the dash to keep it secure but I had no problem with excessive heat when it came loose. The mount itself is medium strength for a dash mount, so not a problem to begin with. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and it held the phone perfectly without falling about 10 times and then started dropping my phone on the floor. I made sure everything was tight, but I hit the tiniest bump in the road that I didn't even feel and suddenly my phone fell to the ground. I do not recommend buying this mount for your expensive phone. Luckily I'm still within the return period and am sending it back.
