I've had lower back issues my whole life. This was my first sacroiliac joint injury. The pain was paralyzing. I couldn't get out of bed. You can't describe it if you haven't experienced it yourself. No belt is a panacea for back pain. This was the third SI belt I tried. This has helped me to be flexible in my daily life. It fits well but is still comfortable and easy to use. Whether I held it very tightly or on the weak side, the strap always maintained its integrity. When I sat for long periods the strap lost some of its stiffness but maintained my posture without slipping up or down. It camouflages itself quite well under clothing without noticing that you're wearing a belt. I would not recommend machine washing. Best hand wash and air dry.
