The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was that there were two tiny black screws at the bottom of the transparent pocket that contained the block. screws were missing. An attempt to reinstall them failed. The screws appear to be too short to get a good grip on the metal backing plate or the hole has been cut out! Since the case and backplate didn't fall apart, I decided to ignore this issue. After installing the unit, I noticed that the battery voltage was 2 tenths of a volt lower than the battery charge controller reading. Multimeter readings at the terminals confirmed that the charge controller voltage readings were correct and the transfer switch readings were low. So when setting the battery switch voltage I compensated for the lower value in the transfer switch settings. The good news is that this device has performed well so far. This allows me to cycle the battery in a way that extends its life and protects it from deep discharge.
