Due to the simple fact that my son has been using them for less than 6 months, they are SO NOT $35. Trust me, kids grow up so fast that by the time he can finally give his mom an ankle for taking his drinker from him, you'll already have to buy another pair. And the top version, oh my god, doesn't even turn me on! You ONLY need a shoehorn to slip your feet into your shoes! Even AFTER I loosened the laces enough that the boot now looks like a spaghetti monster from hell, I still had trouble getting his heel in. THEN I have to tighten all the laces without twisting them because my 4 year old son is so into anal and when I finally tie his laces he's late on the mats. THIS TAKES TOO LONG AND I NEED AN EXTRA LOAD OF VODKA TO COME THE STRESS OF A HYPERACTIVE CHILD WHO CAN'T SIT. So yeah, don't take the laces. Save yourself. Say NO to laces and YES to velcro.
