Works great. Have used it 3 times already. The quality of the tapes is good. I expect they will last at least 3-5 years or until we get a car with a real roof rack/mounting system. I have an 18.5 foot aluminum canoe. I was very skeptical about this system for this canoe. I don't do interstate trips or trips longer than 20 minutes with this setup, but I think it would be fine if you tethered bow and stern. Also, for bow and stern ropes, I would recommend making sure your car has a good place to moor. My car doesn't and I have to weld something under the car to attach the tailline. I just loop the bow line around the grill, not desirable, but good for short trips. Read the instructions, know what you are working with.
