I mean I don't get positive feedback on these filters because I feel like the dirtier the filter is after use the better the filter. I've been using two other brands for over 10 years. The last set I bought came in a box so it lasted a few years as I only use it in the winter. But they are very expensive compared to other brands so I decided to save money and try another brand and now I regret it. I bought these because they had the same Merv rating and were cheaper, but do they really work? With other filters I had to change them every 2 months and each time the filter was so covered with dust and other particles that they looked like they had fur on them. I've been using this filter for about two months and it shows little collection at all. All these filters have the same merv level. I lowered the price but opted for the same level of filter, so why isn't this filter dirty? I immediately noticed that the filter is a bit smaller than other filters I've bought, but I didn't think it would make a difference. I mean I got the right size, they just run a little small. They don't fit in the filter slot, but they do fit in the inlet, so I don't think it makes a difference. Guess I'll have to go back to big brands, more expensive ones that I can pick up locally. I'm wondering if those filter ratings mean anything at all, or if it's just snake oil. UPDATE: Okay, I usually change my filters every two months. The first change I didn't see worked. I left the second set for 3 months. I have attached photos of these filters. Usually when I change the filter, even after 2 months, the filter is so clogged that it looks like there are hairs on it. As you can see in the photos, the color of the filter has changed from white to grey, so some particles have been picked up, but that's not how it should look. I took the filters outside, held them up to the light instead of direct sunlight, and you can see the light coming through the filter. SO THE MANUFACTURER IS A LIAR, LIAR, LIAR, LIAR. The filter shouldn't look like this after 3 months of use. If it was a real Merv 11 rating you would see a lot more particles on the filter and no light coming through. Anyone who says these are good filters is either ignorant, blind, or trolling the company. Another thing that freezes my asterisk is that you can't get them back once you realize the filters are junk. Revain won't help you at all and they make it very hard to even point out what rubbish they are.
