I take great care of my hair but I also struggle with my scalp being too oily (which strangely causes dandruff as well as desiccants) . scalp does). It only takes a quarter size. Apply to damp hair at the roots (not the long section of hair). Lather and leave for a minute, then rinse. Most organic shampoos I've tried don't lather, so this was a pleasant surprise. Don't use this if your hair is dry and I keep all shampoos off the ends and just focus on the scalp. Beware. As soon as I started using it I swear my dandruff seemed to get worse. I even gave a bad review but kept using it while waiting for the next product to arrive. By then the problem had resolved itself. I think it can push out the excess skin when you first use it. However, after about 3 weeks my dandruff was almost gone (which I couldn't achieve with any other organic product). This company also has amazing air conditioning. (Silk 9 seems to be called that). I use it on my ends but not on my scalp and a little goes a long way. For example, a nickel-sized syringe is enough for my medium-length hair. (and it smells great too)
