I have black hair with ash brown ombré highlights - looks great outside of the salon - but can turn orange quickly. I bought one of these a while back -- it ran out at the time because it was no longer sold on Sephora -- and have tried LOTS of other products (colored shampoos, leave-in conditioners, etc.). I gave up and went back to this guy. Its worth it. Hair stays ash brown without having to go to the salon for toner/fix. The hair feels well cared for. A little goes a long way - it takes a while.
