Lighter still works great. I use it to light a grill and it works like a charm. I have two young children and am always worried about lighters or matches so this seems like a safer alternative. We will soon be using it to light candles for their birthdays and I have no doubt it will work as promised. new technology so I have plenty of cords in case I lose the cord it came with. The flexible neck helps to light the grill and its slim form factor means I can toss it in the litter box and it doesn't take up much space. So far so good, I recommend it to anyone who needs a lighter.
