Beautiful but limited

Use these sheets to practice a specific style of Chinese calligraphy. The paper itself works well with Chinese ink and is of excellent quality. First of all, I think it's a great arm/hand control exercise. Chinese calligraphy is very complex and it takes literally years of practice to achieve true mastery; However, for a newbie like me, it's nice to try. I've always appreciated the artistic quality and beauty of symbols. My biggest regret is that there is no English translation, so most of the time I have no idea what the symbols mean. I believe that the value of these sheets could be greatly increased by some translations. Also, there is nothing to indicate the order/direction of the strokes. The sheets arrived partially folded from very thin plastic. They may have been slightly crushed in the mail. It would be nice if there was at least some cardboard to keep the paper intact during transit. I think it's probably wonderfully helpful for people who speak Chinese. In my case, this is useful for learning the art of Chinese calligraphy, but other than the exercises, I'm not sure. It ends up being fun and meditative, but of limited use to me.
