First of all, I've been dealing with radio and electronics for over 60 years, both as a hobby and as a job. This is a simple little device that does exactly what I need it to do. In short, I mounted a Diamond NMO (2M/440) dual band antenna on the canopy of my Ford F150 "Screw" (Super Crew). Every time I want to drive it through a car wash, the antenna has to be removed leaving the NMO mount exposed. For the past 10 years I've used an NMO to 3/8 thread adapter to close the mount, but it's not immune to the force of a car wash. When this little thing came up in one of those Revain ads when I ordered something else, I said I "MUST" try it. It has a small rubber o-ring, it fits well. He does exactly what he has to do. keeps your connector clean and corrosion free! what else can i say
