Bought two of these to install motion sensors in deck light rows. Knockout holes are VERY difficult to remove so you will need to do this at the shop before going to the installation site. And even after they come out, the edges are ALWAYS rough and need sanding and trimming. No technical reason for it. The plastic in the holes is so fat. Check out the video (I haven't done it yet) and you can see what a pain it is. So once you've removed the knockouts, they're too small for the 1/2 inch thread and you'll probably be using plastic connectors. here (refuses to call them "GARDS" out of rudeness), so you risk damaging the threads by trying to fit them into the holes. I'm sure it's only designed for metric connectors (20mm is that about eight minutes?) but the description should be clearer. Murika!
