Description of Enrichment Nosework Feed Games: AWOOF Snuffle Mat For Dogs - Interactive Puzzle Toy, 34.6" X 19.6" Dog Feeding Mat Encouraging Natural Foraging Skills, Stress Relief And Slow Eating

[SLOW DOWN FEEDING TIME] The snuffle mat for large dogs helps tons with slow feeding along with nose training. It takes your dogs from 10 to 15 mins to eat with dog feeding mat, which is so much better than less than 1 min to eat out of a bowl. The sniff mat prevents bloat and challenges your dogs mind and also slow down the dog's eating speed and trigger the nature instinct to dig or forage. [NON-SLIP & LARGE & DURABLE] Made of high-quality felt cloth with thick artificial grass blades, durable and pet-friendly. The bottom is a non-slip cloth that effectively holds the treat mat and prevents the dog from moving it. Petals and grass are sewn on dog training mat with thick cotton thread. The dog snuffle mat can be shrunk into a small storage bag and also can be hung or set aside when not use. [FUNNY TREAT FEEDING GAME]: The dog feeding mat has a big flower with 2 layers of orange petals and a big green messy grass for one or two dogs use at the same time. It can hide large food chunks and dog treat easily. AWOOF Pet Snuffle Mat has a squeaker under the logo and 3 pieces crinkle paper randomly place in the petal to attracts dog's attention and provide more fun. [DOG TRAINING MAT TOYS]: Sniffing is an essential method for the dogs to explore the outside world. Sniffing is the nature of dogs. Our dog Feeding Mat encourages your dog to forage naturally, which stimulates their powerful sense of smell and natural foraging instincts. Also it effectively slows pet feeding down to prevent digestive problems. [EASY TO CLEAN]: The dog foraging mat is 34.6 x 19.6 inch which is suitable for any breed. Keeping your dog occupied can prevent your dog bored and engage in destructive behavior. The dog enrichment toy is very easy to clean, which can be washed by machine or hand. Tips: 1. Dog likes to nose dig with this toy

I have a 40lb husky heeler mix who likes to nose dig treats out of this. I noticed the green fabric pieces were not too durable and some came off. Toy is moderately durable otherwise. My cats also like to play with it. Most of the flaps/ hiding spots are pretty small, not all treats or food can fit. The two main circles are better for hidding food/ treats. I don't know if I would trust this in the washer. Overall an okay mat!

Pros
  • Feeding Mats
Cons
  • The mat may not be compatible with all diets

Entertains my anxious dog

I have a 70 pound German Shepard mix and use this to give him his kibble. He loves looking for the little pieces under all the flaps. It does take some time to set up but it’s worth it. He’s tired by the time he eats all of his food. This is NOT meant to be an unsupervised chew toy. It’s felt. My dog is a huge chewer but hasn’t attempted to tear up the toy and it holds up to him biting on some of the flaps to pull the kibble out. Great for keeping him entertained.

Pros
  • My dogs love this tracking mat. Lots of hidey holes for treats. Gets their noses and brains working.
Cons
  • The mat may not be easy to store when not in use

Not for a active big dog

I have a two-year-old Belgium Malinois (a very intelligent breed) that is very active. He stiffed and found some of his food. He figured out how to get all his food out by tossing the snuffle mat up in the air and shaking all the food out. What a mess. Food when everywhere. He also chewed off a few pieces on the mat. I would not have noticed if the torn pieces weren't on the floor. My dog loves to play and toss his toys. I guess he thought it was a toy. I put it in his kennel to let him finish…

Pros
  • Improves your dog's cognitive ability
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs that are extremely picky eaters

Great Idea - Lacks Durability

This is a GREAT concept to stimulate my pup's mind. just not very well constructed as my giant breed pulled sections of this mat apart almost immediately. There should be a "kong" version for extreme chewers so that it is less likely to come apart so easily.

Pros
  • Promotes healthy habits for your dog
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs that prefer traditional feeding methods

Wonderful!: my feedback

Bought for my new pup as she’s a American Bulldog/mastiff mix that needs to stay busy! It’s helped calm her urges of being mischievous (she’s still a pup and has her moments!) she loves digging through to get her food. Our other dog even wants in on the action!

Pros
  • Provides a long-lasting and durable option for dog toys
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs that have trouble with spatial awareness

Best thing ever best in my review

I have two crazy Australian Shepards. This helps them be able to both eat at the same time without fighting or worrying about the other because they are entertained with trying to find their food. It keeps them entertained with treats as well and makes them use their brain and have more fun trying to find their treats/food. Highly recommend!

Pros
  • Provides a fun activity for dogs of all ages
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for small breed dogs

Both Large Dogs Love It

I have two 90lb+ dogs. I can put treats in several different places, many are hard to get. Both dogs can use it at the same time, which is great. They often switch sides when one gives up. Love it. Wish they would come out with a harder one for large/smart dogs.

Pros
  • Can be used indoors or outdoors
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs with behavioral issues

A Borzoi's take. in my review

This was the biggest I could find and it works fine. My 2.5yr old Borzoi doesn't destroy things so in the past 2 months we've only had two green felt flaps come off whole and then sit on my floor or catch until I throw them out. He was initially fascinated by it but it took him only 10 seconds to pick it up and place it on the couch for easier access. His pointy dyson-like snoot is very effective but he seems to enjoy it and a half cup to full cup of his dry food will last for about 10-15…

Pros
  • Helps to promote a sense of independence in your dog
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs that are easily distracted by noise or movement

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

I honestly didn't think my lab-mix would have any interest in this. Surprise! She loves it! I'll be honest, though, that it took a little work to get her used to it. I initially used pieces of chicken and hot dog to interest her and get her to be willing to really "hunt" for the food. I then moved to little chewy dog treats, and now I'm using regular dog food and feeding her exclusively on the mat some days. I haven't tried washing it yet, so it'll update this as to the durability and…

Pros
  • Can be used to disguise medication or supplements for your dog
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs with reduced sense of smell

Excellent Durability!

I use this for my Pot Belly Pig when she gets board in the house. Pigs love to root and this is holding up so well. We fill it with Cheerios and it's one of her favorite toys. I have shared it with other Piggy Parents. Great product!

Pros
  • AWOOF
Cons
  • Cleaning the mat may require special instructions

The puppers LOVE it!

The dogs usually get snippy with each other over toys but they forage happily together with this. They absolutely love it and get so impatient with me as I hide the treats.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of bloat in dogs
Cons
  • The mat may not be suitable for dogs with certain health conditions

Dogs love it: my feedback

Material is of great quality and durability. It has lots of pockets and flaps to hide food/treats for dogs to forage for, which they love. Great for getting fast eaters to slow down and great for their minds in general.

Pros
  • Dog likes it
Cons
  • The mat may not stimulate all dogs' natural instincts

Very pleased! in my review

Love the size, "bowl” height, and the handles. I bought a different one first (for my other dog) which has sturdier construction and those worm-like pieces which make it more entertaining for them to find the kibble, but it was out of stock and I feel this is just different but almost just as good.

Pros
  • Good way to occupy the pup for 20 mins
Cons
  • The mat may not be suitable for dogs with food allergies

Hound dog boredom fix

So glad we bought this to make meal time more exciting for our pup. She is a hound mix and gobbles her food way too quickly even with her go slow bowl. With this Matt, she takes her time and puts her nose and mind to work with each meal. Very happy with the purchase

Pros
  • Promotes slow eating for improved digestion
Cons
  • The mat may be too complicated for some dogs to use

Dog snuffle mat engaging

My dog loved it, kept him busy. He's about 65 pounds and did manage to tear out a few of the pieces with his long claws trying to get food pieces but it's still holding up relatively well. He likes it .

Pros
  • This item has kept my dog busy and engaged.
Cons
  • The mat may not hold up well over time

Product Image is Misleading but good product regardless

They definitely made the mat look much bigger in the image for the listing but it’s a great product regardless and my dog loves finding little treats in it!

Pros
  • Pups have fun digging out treats. They are persistent chewers & ripped one of the tabs off early on.
Cons
  • The mat may not be versatile enough for all feeding styles

Perfect item to keep my dog busy!

My dog recently had knee surgery and needed something to help keep his mind busy from time to time, this product is perfect! He absolutely loves finding his treats and gets so excited every time we bring it out!

Pros
  • Helps to reduce the risk of aggression in dogs
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs that have a history of gastrointestinal issues

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for hyper puppies

Got this for my pup and it lasted pretty much indefinitely, even got the bigger one to fit his portions better (I put about 1.5-2 cups amongst all the pockets before they started to look overstuffed). My only complaint is that it acquired a bitter/sour odor after a few washes but otherwise amazing!

Pros
  • Encourages a healthy relationship between the dog and owner
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs with short snouts

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not durable at all, but puppy loves it.

The concept of this mat is great. My 8 month old bichon has ripped through at least 5 areas in one day. She loves it. And it gets her to eat her dry food. But the material on most of the mat is that thin thin felt that you can get at the craft store. so of course it is just ripping so very easily. The material that is inside the bowl is much sturdier, unfortunately they didn’t use it all over. It won’t last long. And for $45 it should.

Pros
  • Non-toxic and safe for your dog
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs with separation anxiety

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great concept but not well-made

I was excited to buy this mat for the dogs. Each dog is less than 12 pounds and in just for days they have significantly damage this Matt. I had hope that this map would provide hours of entertainment over a span of much longer than four days.

Pros
  • Helps to relieve stress in dogs
Cons
  • The mat may not be suitable for dogs on a weight loss program
