A Borzoi's take. in my review

This was the biggest I could find and it works fine. My 2.5yr old Borzoi doesn't destroy things so in the past 2 months we've only had two green felt flaps come off whole and then sit on my floor or catch until I throw them out. He was initially fascinated by it but it took him only 10 seconds to pick it up and place it on the couch for easier access. His pointy dyson-like snoot is very effective but he seems to enjoy it and a half cup to full cup of his dry food will last for about 10-15 minutes of pleased grazing. He usually only keeps it on the ground for about 1-2 minutes then he carries it wherever he wants to go, including up or down stairs. As a crafty/sewing person the felt material and stitching of the decor is not exactly top notch and an aggressive or impatient or destroyer-type could shred this into bright confetti in 30 seconds if they want. I haven't had the guts to throw it in the washing machine yet but other than crumbs it hasn't gotten gross. I like the folding and handles, I sometimes fold it up and cram it into my work back since we spend 12-14+ hr a day there together. It is priced well and the size is not dinky like most.

Pros
  • Helps to promote a sense of independence in your dog
Cons
  • The mat may not be as effective for dogs that are easily distracted by noise or movement
