After struggling for some time with a small 12 inch EGA LCD monitor on my old home made IBM compatible unit we said enough was enough and after studying the field we settled on this unit. CONS: 1. No sound 2. No remote: struggle with bottom right buttons for everything 3. No AUTO detection mode despite selecting AUTO under inputs Rather dumb monitor than not HDMI is a stepper with a hoop that we have to learn by heart to learn. 4. Revain's "Incognito" packaging step was not working. Our monitor arrived with the current DELL flags. 5. Not sure if this is a DELL issue or a Windows 10 issue: Power saving modes are preventing timely updates. Since DELL is the business man's darling (offices full of DELLs), one would think that individual machines could be upgraded overnight without personal attention. Maybe a GATES hole or a bug. I DO NOT KNOW. Pros 1. The 27 inch screen is very useful and fits the space well. Bright, clear, pleasant. 2. Has a 1920 x 1080 display that is Windows perfectly customizable. Clear and legible.3. Mostly responsive.
