I needed a quality small pair of binoculars for my everyday backpack when hiking in Washington state. I knew we would likely face inclement weather, so I wanted something that could withstand the rain. These binoculars are nice and handy, making them easy to hold when wet. I was also surprised at how much I could see with them. I was able to quickly and easily focus on Roosevelt birds/moose. My husband, a tall guy, found these binoculars uncomfortably small, but an average height person shouldn't have a problem with them.
