Fastening wires - call

I tried it as a switch. but the cabling problems proved insurmountable. The wires are pushed through the hole and held between two copper surfaces by friction. They don't "snap" into place like a normal light switch and just pull out. In my ceiling fan application the connection was "down" and the vibration of the fan caused the wires to come out easily. Tried gluing them in place, didn't help. So wasted money and time. I suggest finding with wires inherent in the design or with screw mounting - that's what I'll look for now.
