He's pretty thin. There is no lining that really holds the heat. Appropriate for fall, early spring I think. I kept it but somehow I wish I had it back now. The size is also confusing. Medium didn't fit my 4 (sometimes) 5 year old, too big. We're looking forward to autumn 2012 so that we can benefit at least somewhat from it.

Pros
