My caique was shy at first (1 day) but as a brave little bird he finally gave it a try and had a lot of fun crawling around his little obstacle Course. He hasn't used it as a rest stop yet, but maybe that will come later. I tightened it and pushed down a bit so it could feel secure to try (not too wobbly) since it's tied together (not a tight piece). Finally I'm going to loosen him up a bit more in the sling position as shown in the picture to see if he likes it. He walks over it and hangs on it upside down. It is designed for small and medium-sized birds.
